Well it's about time...

Everyone else has been doing it, so why not me. Long, long ago, I learned that often crazier things happen to me than to other people. Maybe this will help me remember them. Even better, I'll finally have a forum to rant, keeping me from screaming on street corners for a few more days.

A "Wicked" Good Time

Tonight I went with my dear Senate Contact and his friends from high school to see the musical "Wicked". I know, there is something delightfully appropriate about me seeing a musical, since I'd been singing them for years, but only to myself. It was a fantastic show! At times it was a little sad, but that's one of the things that made it a good show. I recommend it to anyone who has the gumption to go.

Today I also made a little money: I sold a TON of books today to Harvard Bookstore. I realized a few days ago that I will be moving from Cambridge in a few short months, and the more stuff I can get rid of, the easier that will be. I made almost $150, and I got rid of a bunch of things I just don't want anymore. Win-win! It made me a little sad, in truth, to realize that soon I won't be living in Cambridge anymore. I've been here since Fall of 1998. It's a terribly long time, but it really has begun to feel like home here. It scares me a little to think that pretty soon I'll be in a totally different environment. I hope it is as fun and as eventful as my time here has been.

Tomorrow is Easter.

I'll write tomorrow, I guess, about my trip to Sanibell. It was a very emotional experience, and while I was there, I actually composed an entire post one evening. Since there wasn't any internet, I didn't bother sending it. More importantly, the act of composing it, albeit in my head, was quite cathartic. But more on all that when I write it up. I've even got cute stories about baby raccoons!
